What happens if I need to cancel for medical reasons?

If you need to cancel your trip for medical reasons, our regular cancellation conditions apply.

Important: The reason for your cancellation, even if it is for medical reasons, has no influence on the costs incurred. Our Terms and Conditions apply, which regulate the cancellation and the associated cancellation costs requested by the customer.

The cancellation fees are tiered according to when the cancellation occurs:

• Up to 45 days before the start of the trip: 20% of the trip price
• 44 to 30 days before the start of the trip: 30% of the trip price
• 29 to 20 days before the start of the trip: 45% of the trip price
• 19 to 14 days before the start of the trip: 75% of the trip price
• 13 to 7 days before the start of the trip: 85% of the trip price
• 6 days before to no-show: 90% of the trip price

Our recommendation: We generally recommend purchasing travel cancellation and/or trip interruption insurance. This can reimburse you for costs incurred in the event of a medically necessary cancellation.
